About us

Our company was founded as a Junior Achievement (UF) enterprise in the fall of 2022, following. During our JA year, we initiated collaborations and research efforts with various stakeholders, setting the groundwork for our project.

The coastal municipalities in Sweden face a recurring problem every year: managing the algae that wash up on their shores. This process is both costly and inefficient, as the algae are often returned to the sea without any added benefit.

Recognizing an opportunity in this challenge, we focused on researching the properties of algae to develop an environmentally friendly and sustainable insulation material. By collaborating with Tjärnö Marine Laboratory, we discovered that the unique properties of algae could be effectively utilized in the construction industry.

In July 2023, our UF company transitioned into a formal corporation and embarked on a research project to develop this insulation material. Today, we continue to work closely with researchers and the construction industry to commercialize this innovation.
